Forshage update #6

Work is continuing- feels like things are moving quickly now which is great.
Body has been glued.

Forshage update #5

We now have a nice hollowed back for the ergo.
I guess the next task to to glue to top and back together?
Don’t quote me on that.

Forshage Gallery

Just a little gallery of Forshage instrument pictures that I have collected since placing my order.

If you own the image and are unhappy with me posting it then please contact me and I will remove it.

Forshage Ergo Update #4

Top has been hollowed out.
Chris is working on the back at the moment.

Music Radar £100 build challenge.

I’m participating in the Music Radar £100 build challenge.

I already have a healthy bunch of parts lying around as you can see from the pictures.

I also have a USA ’62 reissue strat body, strat bridge and aged Fatboy pickguard incoming but they cost more than £100.
My idea is to build two guitars.

One will be a strat made out of the incoming body and other parts with the Fender Japan ’62 reissue neck in the pictures.
I have some Tom Anderson pickups that can go in it or perhaps I might go for some Suhr single coils.
Not sure yet.
This guitar is NOT the guitar for the challenge.

The other is likely to be the Aria body with the dragon carving with the Mightymite neck.
I bought the Aria guitar back in the 1990′s in Australia.
I think I paid $100 for it back then- the neck was completely screwed and it has laid around since then, although I had a warmoth neck on it for a bit.
It has a PRS trem on it that I paid $20 AUD for as I was working in a guitar shop and replaced the trem on a late 80′s PRS with a Floyd.
I bought the PRS trem from the previous owner as there was no way her could use it with the Floyd being on there.
A bit of a score.
The pickguard I cut myself from an Allparts blank.
Pickups I will probably go for the two PRS vintage Treble and Bass.
I have no idea what I paid for them.
The Mightymite neck was bought when I lived in the US.
Forget what I paid for that- will have to see what they go for.
