James Richmond is a musician, producer, engineer and composer with over thirty years experience in the industry. He has a passion for audio technology and works from his Oxfordshire studio VOLT PER OCTAVE.
James is a self-proclaimed tech-nerd with a mastery of modern production workflows, Avid Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cycling ’74 Max, AOIP technology such as Dante, advanced audio synthesis, experimental composition techniques and is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist.
He releases original electronic music under the name euclidean circuits which is primarily improvised using modular synthesisers, Arduino-based bespoke instruments and Max. He plays guitar in and produces Liam Vincent & The Odd Foxes and has a solo project, The Deathbird.
JHe is the owner of EventFieldAudio, where he builds music applications and plugins based around indeterminacy and probability-based workflows.
James has written for a number of publications and websites including Australian Digital, Australian Guitar Magazine, Next Music and Production Expert.
