Multichannel phasing and object export · Free, runs in your browser
One sound is played many times at once, every copy at a slightly different speed. They start together, drift apart over minutes, and eventually come back. Each voice stays on its own channel, so twelve voices become twelve Atmos objects, each moving at its own rate.
Use the built in patterns or load your own audio. Set how many voices you want and the range of speeds between the slowest and fastest, and the rest are distributed evenly. Preview in stereo, then render.
Export as discrete objects (2 to 16 mono channels) or as a standard bed layout (5.1 through 9.1.6) with the correct channel order written into the file. Output is a 48kHz 24 bit interleaved WAV. The LFE is left silent unless you ask for it, and low passed at 120Hz if you do.
To use it: import the WAV, choose Split to Mono, assign each track to an object, and place them. In Pro Tools Ultimate the renderer is built in, so there is nothing else to open. Voices close in rate stay together for a long time, so spreading neighbouring rates to opposite corners of the room usually sounds better than keeping them adjacent.
