A phase composition environment for the browser.

Load two to four loops, then let each one drift away from the beat by a small, controllable amount: in tempo, in length, or in read position. Every part has a boundary that decides how far it may wander before it turns back, so phasing becomes a bounded excursion rather than a one-way departure.

Parts can be left to drift alone, pulled back toward the grid, pushed out to their limits, or set orbiting one another on a fixed period. A quantise control slides the whole ensemble between continuous phasing and stepwise displacement, so a piece can move between the two rather than committing to one.

Because the moments worth keeping arrive unannounced, DriftGrid listens while it plays. It captures alignments automatically, with pre-roll, and can roll a weighted die each bar to keep passages you didn’t choose. Takes export as WAV.
